GlenAllachie Edition

Founded in 1967 in heart of the Scottish Speyside, GlenAllachie is one of Scotland’s younger distilleries. The name GlenAllachie (Glen-alla-key) comes from GLEANN AILEACAIDH, an old Scottish Gaelic phrase which translates to "Valley of the Rocks". Glenallachie was originally built to mass-produce single malt for blending.

50 years later, Master Distiller Billy Walker along with his two business partners bought over the distillery, relaunching it with single malts under the GlenAllachie brand. His experience in acquiring and reviving distilleries like BenRiach & GlenDronach put GlenAllachie on a definite path to success.

Billy Walker experimented with multiple types of wood finishing, casks and re-racking, producing its signature range of ester-rich and fruity spirits. GlenAllachie's whiskies are always bottled at 46% abv or higher, non-chill filtered, naturally coloured and made exclusively from locally sourced Concerto Barley. Under the watchful eye of Billy and his partners, the distillery has already gained impressive acclaim, racking up more than 100 awards since its relaunch 5 years ago.

GlenAllachie now boasts the most extensive range of wood finished whiskies, with niche producers from around the world and small batches of outstanding casks. With more than 50,000 casks maturing on site, you can be sure there will be more to come.
